- 1978 A rusted bike was completely re-built
- 1979 A workshop was set up in the cellar of a house in Birch Polygon, Rusholme, trading under the name Bicycle Doctor
- 1981 Bicycle Doctor Ltd. was registered as an Industrial and Provident Society
- 1983 Bike Doc opens for business at 68 Dickenson Road, Rusholme
- 1987 Bike Doc won best Co-op of the Year Award and bought 70 Dickenson Road
- 1992 Bike Doc was chosen as one of the Top Ten UK Bike Shops (Cycling Plus reader survey)
- 1994 A massive refurbishment doubles the size of the shop and makes life much easier
- 1998 Bike Doc gets on the Web
- 2003 There were six of us. We are Al, Jo, Mary, Mo, Robbie & Rob
- 2006 Then there was Huw, Rich, Jo, Mo, Robbie & Rob
- 2007 Now we are Rich, Steve, Mo, Robbie, Rob & Young Rob (a.k.a. Rob K)
- 2008 Now we are Rich, Mo, Robbie, Rob & Young Rob
- 2010 Founder Rob retires, so now we are Rich, Mo, Robbie, Huw, Alex, Ben and James
