Child Trailers |
![]() One transporting option is a specially designed trailer. The Burley Bravo is a super light example of this. It carries two children comfortably. It folds quickly and has a plastic cover just in case the unexpected should happen and it rains. There's plenty of room for shopping, luggage etc. as well as baby, although storing your week's supply of chocolate next to your toddler is not advised. The Burley Encore costs £329.99 free delivery to mainland UK. |
Child Seats |
| Co Pilot
The patter of tiny feet does not have to mean the end to your cycling. Once baby is sitting up, they can ride on a seat on the back of your bike. We sell two different ones, the Taxi and the Limo, both from Co Pilot. They come with a rack that bolts onto the back of your bike. When the child seat is not mounted, the rack can be used for luggage. The seat slides on and off quickly. The Taxi costs £79 and the Limo - a deluxe version of the Co-Pilot with thicker padding and a reclining option costs £99 |

Trailer Bikes |
| Even if your child is riding independently, you may feel that they are not safe in the traffic, or maybe they get tired on long journeys.
Why not try a trailerbike ?
This is like half a bike for a child that bolts on behind your bike, either onto the seat post or onto its own rack.
As long as the child's body weight is below half your body weight, you'll be able to lead them along.
They get to pedal, and when they feel tired, they can stop pedalling and just be dragged along

Childrens Bikes |
As your child grows older, they will probably want their own bike.
The first bike is a fantastic source of independence for a child.
They seem to be able to ride hour after hour around a small circuit near their home, or round the block time and time again.
In their heads, they're on a massive adventure, travelling to another world.
If your child can't balance, or you want to move them away from stabilizers, then remove the pedals and lower the saddle, so they can scoot the bike around.
This gives them the idea of balancing. Watch them, and when they start lifting their feet off the ground and seem confident, replace the pedals, raise the saddle and they will start to ride almost as if they've done it forever.
Encouraging children to be part of your cycling means that you get to spend time together and you may even be setting them up with a passion that they'll have for the rest of their lives. Click here for our range of childrens bikes and trikes |
